Organization
IMF is a registered organization having more than 300 members all over India which includes Individual Members, Institutional Members, Affiliated Associations and Clubs, Associate Members, Honorary Members, Ex-Officio Members and Affiliate Members. Among these, those who are entitled to vote elect the President and Governing Council (GC) members to manage the affairs of the organization. The President & the GC appoint the office bearers to carry out the executive functions of IMF, which includes the Hon: Secretary who is the Principal Executive Officer of the organization. The President/GC also appoint the Director and other staff members to carry out the day-to-day administrative functions of IMF. They also appoint various National and Zonal level committees to perform specific tasks to fulfil the objects of the organization.
The management of the organisation rests with the Governing Council which comprises the President-IMF, two Vice-Presidents, the Hon: Secretary who is the Principal Executive Officer of the IMF, the Treasurer, Thirteen Governing Council members (of whom two are nominated by the President), and two Ex-Officio Members from the Govt of India. While the Governing Council is vested with all the standard executive decision making powers, the President possesses the plenary authority at any point of time to take necessary action in the paramount interest of the organisation. For better management and administration, the GC appoints various committees (National/Zonal/Regional) to carry out various specific tasks.

The Indian Mountaineering Foundation owns one of the most beautiful, calm, quiet and energizing campuses one can find in New Delhi. Situated on a small hillock located in Anand Niketan, New Delhi it is well connected by air, rail and road. With the International Airport barely 6 Kms away and the Metro station - Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus – at a throw away distance of 2 Kms, IMF is the adventure heartland of India. The IMF complex houses three Dormitory accommodation for mountaineers and adventurers, dining hall and kitchen, international level climbing wall cluster, ambient space for outdoor activities, meeting hall, conference hall, lounge, museum and library, besides the offices for the President, Hon: Secretary, Director and Staff members. The Director, IMF maintains the overall control of the premises.

Sport Climbing wall is available all days except Mondays. Timings are: 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM and 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM (October to March) and 06:30 AM to 10:30 AM and 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM (April to September) at Rs 300-/per person per session.
For groups (minimum 30), activities are available viz.Sport Climbing, Burma Bridge, Tyre Swing, Tyroleon Travers(Rope Crossing), Commando Net, Rope Ladder, Crawling through tunnel, natural rocks etc. Prior intimation is required.

The IMF library cum reading room set up in the complex is intended to provide facilities for research work and also to serve as an information window to cater to the needs of Indian and foreign expeditions, the press and others interested in the mountain sports. The library also maintains up-to-date maps, photographs and films and acts as an information and documentation center having data base on peaks.
150 Seats · Film Screenings & Seminars
IMF has a 150 capacity air-conditioned auditorium called Sarin Hall where film/slide shows, lectures and seminars are held. This can be made available to third parties for related purposes.
36 Beds · 3 Air-Conditioned Dorms
IMF has three dormitories having a capacity to accommodate 12 persons in each. Users can now book for stay in IMF dormitory through the online portal. User must have a valid login on the portal and completed profile.

The Campus facilitates a meeting hall with a capacity of 20 people.
Tenzing Norgay Museum · Two-Tier Hall
The Mountaineering Museum serves as a repository of the history, achievements, and evolution of mountaineering in India and beyond. It provides visitors with an opportunity to explore the rich heritage of mountain exploration through historical photographs, expedition records, mountaineering equipment, and other valuable memorabilia. The museum aims to preserve the legacy of mountaineers and explorers while inspiring future generations to appreciate the mountains and the spirit of adventure.
Campus Messing Facility
A canteen in the Complex provides messing facilities for Indian and foreign mountaineers and trekkers.
President, Secretary & staff
The campus houses dedicated offices for the President, Secretary, and other staff members to facilitate administrative operations, coordination, and the effective management of organisational activities.
